BENDIG™ has been participating in the Eurovent Certification program since 2012. The certification body has recently, extend their program coverage to hygienic design prospect of air handling units. BENDIG has been develped its ptp-h range to full fill broader requirement for units serving in public area, cleanroom, and healthcare facility. Our ptp-h range is now Eurovent Hygienic certified with 3 stars rating. The highest rating suitable fr the most hygiene requires.

The air handling unit definition:
A factory-made encased assembly consisting of a fan or fans and other necessary equipment to perform one or more of the functions of circulating, cleaning, heating, cooling, humidifying, dehumidifying and mixing of air.
The hygienic air handling unit definition:
The air handling unit where suitable for using in the sensitive sterile condition.

BENDIG™ provide water based antimicrobial surface to our AHU. It contains both a bactericide to protect the coating against over 650 strains of bacteria and a fungicide to protect against mold, mildew and algae. Bioshield technology inhibits reproduction, interrupts metabolism and disrupts cell wall functions of many molds, yeasts and bacteria. This hygienic technic be applied to plant in our equipment surface for instance , walls, frame-works and other appropriate surfaces to reduce microbiological contamination and propagation.For the physical configuration BENDIGTM also studies the detail of Hygienic requirement regarding to standards and/or design consideration follow as below.

Energy Saveing product
Heat Pipe
H-PTP model is able to combine with energy recovery such as Heat Pipe and Plate heat exchanger. For heat pipe, either horse-shoes or mono-flat are available for Hygienic AHU.

Plate Heat Exchanger
Plate heat exchanger also optional for energy recovery in air handling unit. We available for single air steam and double air steam base on application requirement,

Ultraviolet Sterilization
High energy UV light purifies and disinfects water, air and surfaces, long term and reliably. The use of chemicals can be reduced or totally eliminated. All this makes UV disinfection and oxidation one of the most cost-effective and environmentally-friendly processes and one which is increasingly being used in innovative applications.


IP68 waterproof rating allows the cable connector to withstand harsh weather conditions.

Safety switch cuts off the power to the UV system if the access panel is opened to prevent UV exposure.
Evaporator Coil: UV lights can be installed near the evaporator coil, especially on the downstream side (after the coil), to help sterilize the air as it passes through the HVAC system.
Return Air Duct: Another option is to install the UV light in the return air duct, before the air enters the main HVAC unit.




Fan
FAN PTP-H available for open-wheel or plug-fan according to European standard and requirement. This make operator convenience to clean and recheck after stop unit, Impeller materials shall be composite materials, aluminium and mild- steel with polyester powder coating. All comply with EUROCODEor EN-12944-1.

DETAIL EC FAN
Potentiometer
Built-in Potentiometer shall be available for EC-motor. Even controller malfunction, BENDIG AHU can manually adjust air volume flow without fix speed operation.

DETAIL PLUG FAN
Isolator
Isolator also hygienic in detail, finishing and screwing available for C4 class corrosivity according to EN12944-1. The lesser obstruction the better cleaning. This ensure PTP-H provides clean air to your occupied area,

Coil
Direct Expansion coil PTP-H Can provide refrigerant coil as an optional for expansion cooling. The back-up cooling for redundancy system shall be our recommendation for hospital or critical area where system remains operate even unexpected condition

Recommended Coil Coatings
Hygdrophilic coating
PTP-H ensure moisture removal with Hydrophillic coating. Fin spacing and configurations are comply with HAHU ECP-05 of Eurvent standard. We recommend this coating for fresh air or outdoor air coils.

Epoch coating
This helps to extend the coil’s service life, especially in highly corrosive environments, and to maintain the cooling performance and indoor air quality by resisting microbial growth.

Titanium dioxide ( TiO₂ ) coating
The TiO₂ photocatalytic coating is activated by light to generate powerful free radicals, a process that actively decomposes and eliminates surface-level bacteria, viruses, and harmful VOCs; this action ensures long-term system efficiency and superior indoor air hygiene.

Drain Pan
Self-run off stainless steel drain pan. The design for PTP-H drain pan according to European Hygienic standard and DIN1946-4 section 6.5.4 which 95% of water must be drained out with in 10 minutes
